I casually flicked open the happy exciting fun looking Big W toy catalogue only to be confronted by this sobering picture.
Is it just me or are these masks demented and scary looking???
They remind me of the presidents' masks that the armed robbers wore in the film Point Break. ( ...Ahh Keanu - how I loved you in that film. Your first mature film role post Bill and Ted's excellent adventures.....so handsome and grown up....)

That's hilarious....I was just at my sisters house and we were looking through the catalogue and discussing the same thing. My nephew is obsessed with the Wiggles but those masks are scary....
LOL, yes you are right, I thought they were fairly weird too.. I have spent this afternoon circling items in this very catalogue and am off to Big W at 8 am in the morning with my running shoes on and my boxing gloves..bring it on!
They are indeed completely freaky. Almost as bad as the large-headed, tiny-bodied Hulk costume on the opposite page!
Those masks do tend to have movie or crime associations. Not Halloween scary but just creepy, I agree.
Ohh how i love Keanu in that movie too, i have seen it 100 times!!! Love it love it love it... I dont have that catalogue, seems we dont get junk mail here, i want it so badly!!!!! Yes those masks would scare the shite outta me! Scary stuff mate.

You're right. They are freaky and scary. Like those venetian white masks. A friend went there and bought me one as a present, and I had to get rid of it, because it scared me and freaked me out.
